Cozad College Graduates

Eight Cozad students were among the record number of graduates honored during the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s May 8-9 commencement ceremonies.
UNL conferred a record 3,885 degrees to 3,762 graduates representing 61 countries, 45 states and more than 230 Nebraska communities. Interim Chancellor Katherine S. Ankerson presided over the ceremonies at Pinnacle Bank Arena and the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Shaundra Leigh Francesca Wiederholt — Bachelor of Arts with highest distinction, College of Arts and Sciences

The University of Nebraska at Kearney awarded degrees to 739 students during its spring commencement ceremony on Friday, May 8, at the Health and Sports Center.
The ceremony included both undergraduate and graduate students, representing Nebraska, communities across the United States and several countries abroad.
Honors were recognized based on grade-point averages, including summa cum laude (3.9–4.0), magna cum laude (3.8–3.89), cum laude (3.7–3.79) and honorable mention (3.5–3.69).

Degrees conferred will span a wide range of disciplines, including Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master’s degrees, and specialist-level graduate programs. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for graduates as they completed their academic journeys and prepare to enter the workforce or continue their education.
Concordia
Katie Wilson of Cozad was among nearly 500 students receiving degrees during Concordia University, Nebraska’s 2026 commencement ceremony May 9 in Seward.
Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree during the ceremony held at the Walz Human Performance Complex.
Pastor Ryan Matthias, Concordia’s campus chaplain since 2008, delivered the commencement address, encouraging graduates to carry forward a legacy of “grace and peace” in their daily lives and future vocations.
Concordia University was founded in 1894 and is part of the Concordia University System of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.
