Big E's St. Patty Pool Tournament
Big E’s in Cozad hosted its Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pool Tournament on March 14 at its location at 707 Meridian Ave, drawing 19 teams and a packed house for a day of competition and celebration.
The tournament featured a 9 Ball Scotch Doubles format. Registration began at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Calcutta at 11:30 a.m., with tournament play starting shortly after. The event had a $10 per player entry fee, with payouts awarded to the top three teams, and participation in the Calcutta was optional.
After a full day of matches, Trenton Caldwell and Taylor Walker captured first place, earning $190. John Bodfield and Jeremy Fedderson finished in second place, taking home $120, while Jordan DeRockbraine and Zach Caldwell placed third, winning $70.
In addition to the tournament action, Big E’s served corned beef and cabbage, giving players and spectators a traditional Irish meal while enjoying the festivities.
The annual event once again brought together pool players and community members for a lively St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Big E’s.
